Scott Bauer is entering his ninth season leading the Wildcat baseball program and his teams have amassed 104 wins during his tenure as head coach. Coach Bauer's most successful seasons were the squads of 2008-2010. In 2008, his first as head coach, Coach Bauer lead the Wildcats to the 2008 Class A District 6 Championship. Coach Bauer also lead his teams to berths in the 2009 and 2010 Class A District 6 Championship game, winning the title again in 2010. 2010 remains a banner year for Coach Bauer’s career. His 2010 squad amassed an 18-7 record and made it to the PIAA Class A Semifinals before losing to eventual state champion Serra Catholic.
Coach Bauer began his coaching career in 2000 as a JV assistant coach at Indiana Area. Bauer coached at Indiana for seven seasons and finished his coaching at Indiana as an assistant varsity coach. In 2006, Bauer was hired at Homer-Center as the elementary Health and Physical Education teacher. Later that year, he was hired as the assistant baseball coach under head coach, Rob Stossel. A year later, Bauer took the helm of the Wildcat varsity baseball team.
